40 Winks – Outside the box (It’s the trip, 2011)
This summer’s revival (which really means spending a lot of time organizing playlists) gave me a nice reunion with 40 Winks, and it was hard not to include this drum firework of a song.
High contrast – Derestoration [Mixtape] (2011)
Word on the street is that High Contrast’s latest production is, as they say in Norwegian; super-fly. High Contrast is perhaps best known from the jungle scene, but here he delivers some truly classic beats. I particularly liked Be no rain, Loved you so and Remember me – but you can just get the whole mixtape right here!
CØNTRA feat. Saturna – What I can do (What I can do, 2024)
When you need a blissful mix of bass house, deep dubstep and downtempo. Yes, is that really possible? This song is characterized by intricate sampling and some well-considered bassline vocals.
SAULT – Fight for Love (11, 2022)
SAULT has previously been mentioned in Deichman music , without it taking up much of my attention back then. But this heart-challenging song has been marinating lately. I especially like that the song balances somewhere between RnB, soul and trip-hop.
